The Wit Of The Sword
I have been playing chess recently, since my Mac comes with a chess game built into it. I play it if I am tired of reading or need a mental relaxation from my work. I have started getting better, enough to actually start winning at the 33-50% difficulty. Where 100% is supposed to be extremely hard.
I also noticed some things in my wit have grown, and some of my friends and doctors have noticed...

Going Towards The Den Of the Beast
I have been at MGH recently, and I will continue to be going there for some doctor appointments and tests.
In the last two weeks I went to see my neurologist, who wanted a new base line for my brain. So we wanted a whole battery of tests from blood, EEG, and MRI. I have already taken the blood test and I did the MRI this past Saturday.

I Guess I Really Like Doctors
I mean, I see so many of them, it almost seems like I am collecting them like baseball cards. I went to Spaulding on Tuesday to see Dr. Carter and Dr. Chae for getting baselines for me.
Dr. Carter wanted me just to tell him the story from getting the background of me in Boston, which was a little disappointing. I was hopping we could start spelunking right away with my thoughts and worries. But...

A Foggy Memory In The Night
I had a hard time sleeping tonight, and one of the things was thinking about the rebirth of my life after consciousness after my first surgeries.
During this memory, I was sitting up in bed at one of the hospitals, with IVs and in the hospital gown. I remember hearing that I had a bleed in my brain.
Everything was so bright and white, and it hurt my eyes, to the point of focusing only on the bed...

How Well DID I Do?
I don’t know. Professor Ross is going to grade the tests during this weekend, which is a 3-day weekend here at MIT due to Columbus Day. The other thing is that someone from the class has not taken yet, so she will not announce the grades for the test until everyone has taken the test.

You Know That Word That Means...Uh
I have noticed more recently that ability for me to learn and remember more words, even those at, shall we say, a more sophisticated vocabulary pallet. And no, they are not swear words. Although I have heard myself swear “Oh fiddlesticks” strangely enough.
I definitely still cannot spell them accurately, but I am just more able to use color words in simple conversations.

Well yesterday I went for the first time going to a dance lesion here at MIT. It was for salsa, which I thought was suppose to be the “easy” level for beginners.

A Test Of Courage
This Monday, October 6th, I will be taking my first test for my 3.15 class, Electronic, Optical, & Magnetic Materials & Devices.
